Does it? I sometimes take the stuff to help me sleep (obviously), but the dreams I have on those nights I take it are a million times more messed up and vivid than nights I don't take it.
I wonder if nytol's the cause, or if something else is going on in my psyche.

is the nytol active component for ord nytol
Herbal nytol has hops, dogwood jamaica and lettuce.
They all cross the blood brain barrier so thats why you get the vivid dreams.

Diphenhydramine (benadryl) could indeed be giving you weird dreams. Perhaps you could switch to one of the non-benzo hypnotics like zopiclone or zolpidem and see what happens.
